EC has initiated a suo-motu interim review of countervailing duty (safeguard duty) case against the Indian broad spectrum antibiotics (Cn codes ex 29411010, ex 29411020 ex29419000). The Notification cites the change in Indian export subsidies program Duty Entitlement Passbook Scheme “DEPBS” and Income tax exemption under Section 80HHC of Income Tax Act.
These changes has effected into to lower subsidy to the Indian exporters.
